Last night I attended the 'Norwich University College Of The Arts' (a mouthful I know, i'll always remember it as 'Norwich School of Art & Design') Degree Show 09.

Illustration in particular, still under the tutorage of Rob Mason was a very strong year, an assorted array of talent in all forms of the discipline; Collage, Print, Painting, Drawing & Sculpture. Pictured is 'Spring', part of The Seasons project by Natsuki Otani, who not only has a very impressive portfolio, but is also a very charming person. She will be exhibting her work and showing her portfolio at D&AD New Blood at Olympia National Hall next week, Mon 29th June - Wed 1st July.

Collage Club

Last week I attended the launch of Collage Club at the O-Bar in Soho. Collage Club is, in their own words... "a club night built on fun and free collaboration for friendly people. What we don't want to be is another wanky minimal techno night or a super hip hoxton toss up with the next big electro punk 'band'. We just want to play our favourite tunes, get creative and have a little dance."

I have just finished working with Tiptoe at advertising agency AMV BBDO, illustrating the main entrance windows of their offices in Marylebone Road, London. The main foyer also features an alternative christmas tree made by Alex Ostrowski & Hattie Newman.

The illustrations will remain for the whole of December, so pop along and take a look.

Mojo, Dubai

Here are some 'work in progress' shots from the excellent time we had in Dubai, painting the walls of the new HQ of ad agency Mojo.

Thanks to all who came to Handmade & Bound yesterday. We were perhaps amongst the least conversive, as we had only landed at Heathrow 4 hours earlier from Dubai, but it was good to see so many people there.

The 'Carry Us All' shopper bags have now sold out, but i will get round to screenprinting some more soon'ish', and will put them in the shop.

Alex Coco, zombie mask in place, jaggedly applied paint with his hands, scratched with pencils, spelt out messages in pastel, leaving a collage of colours on his jeans. Already part of Beck's summer of art and music with his winning Fusions image, Barry Markham created bugs and a birdcage before a balloon-popping, paint-splashing final piece.

Cuttings, textured paper and glue were all at hand for Camille Bouyez-Forge as she hinted at a party mood in her pictures. David Wilson arrived with a tiny plastic record player and a 12-inch single. Then he got busy building multi-sided structures, balancing them on the vinyl and turning on the player to create moving images. And to finish: a cake, with a difference.

Giedre Domzaite's beautifully precise works became as much about the whiteness of the page as the paper and ink she applies. Our other Fusions winner Ban Lee worked quickly, knowing precisely which length and what colour of pre-cut tape to apply, his constructivist images leaping off the studio wall. Ian Caulkett's approach was the same. Total focus, moving between paper and materials, fast and efficient, building collages from pasted triangles and sprayed stencils.

25th September, 8pm and the Studio went off air. Filling one entire wall, an incredible range of artworks, each created in four minutes, all inspired by music.

My Design 'Look At Me' has been shortlisted for the Oakley Brief, which gives the UK's top young designers and artists to custimise an exlusive limited edition pair of Oakley Sunglasses.

I looked at the idea of embracing the fashion aspect of sunglasses, a decoration of the face. The text ‘Look At Me’, a semi egotistical statement, I certainly feel applies every time I adorn a pair of sunglasses, and gave a chance to incorporate the bold Oakley ‘O’ logo.

I spent 3 minutes 31 seconds in front of the camera yesterday at YCN headquarters in Whitechapel for the Becks Fusions, Live Studio project. The brief was to create a piece of artwork in response to 'Dawn of the Dead' by Does It Offend You, Yeah? live to the music.

'Roots & Culture' at M&C Saatchi

I am currently exhibiting selected works at 'Roots & Culture' which is being held in the reception area of M&C Saatchi ad agency in Golden Square, nr Carnaby St, London.

The exhibition which runs from 5th June - 25th July, organised by Daydream Network features a prominent Graffiti collaboration centred around Marks line drawings of Camden, Leicester Sq and New York. Mark spent the best part of the bank holiday weekend (with a little help from Ian) working with the other artists on this project. Photos courtesy of Daydream Network. Times Online has teamed up with publishers Harper Collins to give the chance to submit a redesign of the cover of J.G.Ballard's 1973 novel Crash. The competition will be judged by Ballard himself, who will chose the winning design from a shortlist of six selected by the Harper Collins design team. The winner will see their design used on a limited edition of Crash, due to be published in September 2008.

So, it has finally come down to this. Norwich School of Art & Design Degree Show 06.

Illustration have been rewarded with the honour of exhibiting in the Norwich Gallery, which i think we're all in agreement is an excellent space. I feel illustration this year has a very strong and diverse output and would like to congratulate everyone for all the hardwork. Thanks to Rob Mason & Robert Shadbolt for excellent tuition over the years.
